Why Distillers Buy Used
A new still is a long wait and a large check. Lead times on fabricated stills run months, and the quote you sign rarely includes the tanks, the boiler, the glycol or the freight. Equipment out of a closed facility is available now, at a fraction of replacement cost, and it has already proven it runs.
What matters on a used still is the metal and the plumbing, not the paint. We photograph nameplates, note plate counts and column configuration, record jacket and insulation condition, and tell you what we do not know. If a piece has a problem, it is in the listing.
Most of our distillery stock comes from the same place our brewery stock does — facilities that are closing, consolidating or changing direction. That is also why it moves quickly: there is one of each, and when it is gone the next one is a different machine.

We handle more than forty beverage facility closures a year. Take a lump-sum buyout and be done, or let us run a full-value liquidation and send you the proceeds. Either way our crews do the disconnect, rigging and freight, and the space gets cleared.

- What condition is your used distillery equipment in?
- Everything comes out of a working facility. We photograph each piece where it stands, record nameplate data, and note what we know and what we do not. Nothing is refurbished or repainted to hide age.
- Can you handle disconnect, rigging and freight?
- Yes. Our own crews disconnect, rig and load. We freight to all 48 contiguous states and quote rigging at both ends before you commit.
- How fast does distillery equipment move?
- Faster than brewery gear. Stills and spirit tanks routinely sell before a listing finishes its first week. If you see something you need, call rather than wait.
- Do you buy distillery equipment?
- Yes. We buy single pieces, full packages and entire facilities, and we also run full-value liquidations if you would rather not take a lump-sum buyout.
